Annecy Travel Guide | The South of France Diary
I'm obsessed with Europe! So for our yearly Europe trip we decided to explore the south of France. I've dreamed about staying in castles, and the picturesque scenery we were about to explore. So the excitement was real! We spent two magical weeks in the south of France. Four small towns and four big cities. First stop: Annecy! I'll be sharing with you all the things we did, where we ate, the highlights of our trip + details on my outfits.
Annecy a quaint little alpine town in southeastern France. Breathtaking lake views, with cobbled streets, winding canals and pastel colored houses.
A stroll through Pont Des Amours made us fall in love with this romantic town.
Legend has it that if two lovers kiss on the bridge they will stay together forever!
9.4.17 The evening we arrived to Annecy we checked into our Air bnb and quickly changed to get ready for dinner and walk to the beautiful Palais de I'Isle. Victor and I are big foodie's so we always have a list of restaurants to go try anywhere we go.
L'Olivier was by far one of the best french restaurants in the whole trip. We ordered the salmon and it was delicious! Make sure to eat raclette at some point, Annecy is known for it!.
The next day we woke up early and got ready to go visit Lake Annency. Lake Annecy is like something out of a dream! We were so shocked, it was absolutely breathtaking!
The amazing thing about Lake Annecy is that there is so much to do. You can rent a boat, or a paddle boat, ride a bicycle around the lake, or spend the day at the beach.
We decided to rent a boat. You can rent a boat for about $50 Euros an hour. You don't need a boating license they just give you a 5 minute class and the boats all yours. You will see all the boat companies lined up next to each other. They all charge the same and don't forget to see what deal they can give you. This was one of the highlights of our trip!!
Even Victor had his own photoshoot! He cracks me up! I love him.
We spent two nights here and it was definitely too little. We recommend three nights here to experience this beautiful small lake town. We will be back!
Here are a few of my favorite outfits. I did only take one suitcase. Keep in mind we went in the beginning of September so its hot during the day but gets very chilly at night.
Skirt is from Concrete Runway.
I absolutely love it because you can dress it down with sneakers or dress it up with heels. Since we were doing quite of bit of walking plus the streets are cobbled stoned I decided to pair it with some classic Nike Air Max 90.
